Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) coaching provides a supportive space to think through conflict with intention and clarity. Whether you are preparing for mediation, navigating a challenging personal or business relationship, or trying to determine your next steps out of a difficult situation, coaching helps you approach the matter with greater confidence and focus.
Are you a small business owner having difficulty resolving a dispute with a business partner, client or customer? Is the amount in dispute too small to make hiring an attorney worthwhile? We may be able to help.
Through structured conversation and practical guidance, you will gain tools to communicate more effectively, understand your options, and make informed decisions. The goal is not to tell you what to do, but to help you move forward with clarity and purpose.
Mediation focuses on helping both parties. Coaching focuses on you.
Supporting you through conflict with clarity, confidence, and strategy
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) coaching is a one-on-one service designed to help you prepare for, navigate, or reflect on a conflict or dispute. Unlike mediation, where a neutral facilitator works with both parties, ADR coaching focuses solely on supporting you—your goals, your concerns, and your approach to the situation.
ADR coaching is for individuals involved in business or community conflicts who want guidance before entering mediation, negotiation, or difficult conversations. It is also helpful for those who are unsure whether mediation is the right next step.
In mediation, the mediator remains neutral and works with all parties. In ADR coaching, the coach works with you individually to help you think through your options, strengthen your communication, and prepare for productive engagement.
My role is to support your clarity on the matter and work with you to explore possible opportunities for resolution in the face of the dispute at hand—not to facilitate a joint resolution session.

We may also discuss how to manage emotions and approach difficult conversations effectively.
No. ADR coaching can be helpful whether or not you are in a formal dispute resolution process. Many clients use coaching as a standalone service to explore options to better handle personal or professional conflicts.
The types of matters best suited for ADR coaching are those that do not require legal advice, have a monetary amount in dispute that is too small to make hiring an attorney worthwhile, and where there is still a need for some level of assistance to find common ground.
